Leaving the Plateau with no future civilizations. The Ape men while having weaker weapons, had the power to summon dinosaurs and other animals (possibly by using pheromones or hormones to attract then to a area) as seen in the The Lost World 2002, the Ape Men were able to summon two adult Allosaurus to attack the Neanderthal's camp.ĭue to the high death rate and everlasting wars between the two groups, will most likely end in the extinction of both groups. The Neanderthals were also better at healing their sick or wounded, as well gaining the mercy of the adventures who gave them guns and helped them. The Neanderthals had far better weapons then the Ape Men, having things such as strong spears, stone axes, and primitive shields. These two clans had their own powers and tools, with each warring for dominance over the lost world. Sentient Groups: There was only two sentient groups of people in Maple - White Land, these being a group of homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthals) and a group of bipedal Ape Men (most likely a transtional species or missing link through human evolution). The Maple - White Land fauna were extremely durable, often taking many rounds of bullets to kill one or many tranquilizers to knock one out (this was didn't include the Neanderthals and Ape Men how would take damage and die like normal humans). as well, to the south of the plateau are large mountains and swamps which as home to the many pterosaurs, crocodilians, crocodylomorphs, giant insects, snakes, and prehistoric freshwater fish of the plateau. The large central Lake (possible landlocked sea or large body of freshwater, depends on reader's or writer's depicition) not only provides water to all life near it, but also allows for marine species such as prehistoric sharks, ichthyosaurs, mosasaurs, and plesiosaurs to also be preserved in the plateau.

As well the size and environment has allowed the plateau to support large animals and plants, as seen in the Sauropods such as Brontosaurus being found in Maple - White Land. Maple - White Land also appears to have new or undiscovered species and genuses of Dinosaur and other animals, as seen with the ape men and a species of Herrerasaurus with head crest similar to a Dilophosaurus (could be evidence of convergent evolution in the plateau). as well, the plateau was nearly impossible to enter, except for a small cave system towards the north of it.įauna and Flora: The life forms on the plateau are mainly from the mesozoic era, as the dinosaurs or other animals found to be living in it are all from triassic, jurassic, cretaceous.īut some paleocene, permian, pleistocene, devionian, carboniferous, and silurian period animals can be found. with only two warring clans, of stone age Neanderthals and Ape Men (most likely a past missing link species) this prehistoric world is most likely to be left with no civilizations at all. Featured in the book The Lost World by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and a variety of movies and shows ranging from the dates of 1925 to 2004. The Lost World's environment is noted to mainly be warm, misty or foggy, humid, and damp, this may also be explained by the rainforest that makes up most of the plateau. With long rivers, thick forest, deep caves, and landlocked Sea/Large scale lake this prehistoric land is home to many relict populations of Dinosaurs and other Mesozoic life. Maple - White Land or The Plateau is a large scale plateau found in South America, that due to its height and isloation has made it a million year old closed environment.
